Sunday Night Live Review – 3rd April 2011

Week after week Sunday Night Live brings us some of the UK’s newest and freshest talent. With last weeks Motown night the biggest yet could this Sunday match it?

Lighting up Clapham’s high street every Sunday, Aquum attracts one of the busiest and up for it live music crowds. Sold out tables, a packed out dance floor and back to back untapped talent.

This week saw Roo Savill introducing the likes of David Jordan, Bobii Lewis, Natalie Palmer, Elle James, Joe Chiari, Holly Petrie and Nicol Zelinska.

The UK music scene has shifted up a gear recently with more and more artists breaking through independently. With the help of Twitter, Facebook and YouTube everyone has the opportunity to be seen by the music industry. For new artists it’s all about getting out there and getting in front of the people that count.

Sunday Night Live gives new and existing talent a platform to be noticed. Handpicking the cream of the UK’s music scene and delivering a weekly show like no other. Although the night has only been going since November it already has a strong name in the industry. With new artists and managers all watching on this week wanting their chance to perform on Aquum’s stage.

This coming week sees Nate James headlining with Sugasmak, J Marie Cooper, Rax, Ann Marie and Lois Davina so if you haven’t made it down yet, make this Sunday the BiG night.

AKS – The Bus Stop EP Campaign

Our very own Creative Director Matt Thorne aka SKETCHYMEDIA™ recently completed the campaign for London artist AKS latest release “The Bus Stop EP”

Working along side AKS, and the talented photographer Robin Baraj, Matt Creativly Directed, and produced all material for the campaign, intergrating social aspects to a custom portal page for the release, which would capture all the social pick up and provide a clever anchor for the campaign.

“For the release, i wanted to capture what the Bus stop was all about, working closely with AKS ment i could really understand the music, and i wanted to capture the concept and  deliver this in some form, for this i concepted a Bus stop mechansim, where by a free download was available when the bus metaphorically arrived, and after the bus left – you would have to purchase on itunes.”
